This privacy policy describes the processing of personal data when this website is visited. It is tailored to the website code currently provided.
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:
Deepin ASIAWhen a website is accessed, technically necessary connection data is transmitted to the web server. Depending on the hosting provider’s configuration, this may include the IP address, date and time, requested URL, HTTP status, amount of data transferred, referrer and browser/user-agent information in server logs.
This processing serves the technical delivery, stability and security of the website. To the extent that processing is carried out under our responsibility, it is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website).
Hosting provider: Strato AG. Please compare the information on recipients, server location and deletion periods with your hosting agreement or the provider’s privacy information.
The current website code does not set its own cookies and does not use localStorage or sessionStorage. The language selector is controlled through the “lang” URL parameter (for example, ?lang=en) and is not stored persistently in the browser.
On a first visit without a language parameter, the Accept-Language value transmitted by the browser may be used to choose one of the site languages configured in language.php. This value is part of the normal HTTP request and, depending on the hosting provider, may also appear in server logs.
The footer displays first-party visitor statistics for online activity, visits today, this calendar week, this calendar month, this calendar year and total visits. To distinguish active visits without cookies or browser storage, the server creates a one-way keyed hash from connection data and keeps that hash only for the current 30-minute activity window. Raw IP addresses are not written to the visitor counter file. Download counters are also maintained locally. To limit repeat counting, the server keeps a keyed one-way client fingerprint for up to 24 hours; raw IP addresses are not written to the download counter file.
The file request itself still passes through the web server and can therefore appear in the hosting provider’s server logs like any other page request.
According to the current code, the MiniSetup Assistant displayed on the website operates entirely in the visitor’s browser. Questions are matched against help text supplied from language.php to the local JavaScript. The code does not send the questions to an external AI, analytics or other third-party service.
The website package currently reviewed contains no analytics or advertising trackers and no externally loaded web fonts. Images, stylesheets and JavaScript are served locally by the same website. If you later add services such as analytics, embedded video, external fonts, captchas, newsletters or payment services, this privacy policy must be updated before use; depending on the technology, consent may also be required.
Subject to the requirements of the GDPR, data subjects may in particular request access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20), and object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21). Under Article 77 GDPR, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
The website itself stores no language or tracking cookies. Visitor-counter hashes are removed after 30 minutes of inactivity; only aggregate daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and total visit numbers remain. Download counter data is retained continuously. Server-log retention is determined by the actual hosting provider; check the provider before publishing and add the specific retention period here.
Operate the published website exclusively over HTTPS. This encrypts content and connection data in transit between the browser and web server. Whether HTTPS is enforced depends on your server or hosting configuration and cannot be determined from this website package alone.
Update this policy whenever the website’s technology changes or new services are added. The website as actually published and operated is decisive, not only this source package.
